North Macedonia: ESM to auction 6,000 MWh of surplus electricity

North Macedonian state-owned power utility ESM (former ELEM) announced that it will sell a total of 6,000 MW of baseload electricity (00:00 – 24:00) for the delivery between 27 and 31 May. The deadline for the application to participate in an auction is 21 May, and the results will be published the next day. At the previous auction for the delivery of 8,400 MWh of electricity between 20 and 26 May, ESM accepted the following offers: Terna Energy Trading (2,520 MWh at the price of 46.17 euros/MWh), U Power (168 MWh, 45.9 eu-ros/ MWh), EDS (840 MWh, 45.51 euros/MWh), and Axpo (4,872 MWh, 45.26 euros/MWh). ESM said earlier the it will hold auctions for the sale of surplus electricity on the weekly level throughout April and May. So far, four of five announced auctions have been realized.
