North Macedonia: Day-ahead electricity trading surges 21.7% in June 2025

In June 2025, North Macedonia’s day-ahead electricity exchange recorded a traded volume of 94,654.8 MWh, marking a 21.7 percent increase compared to 77,782.1 MWh in the same month the previous year. The volume was also 9.7 percent higher than in May 2025.

The electricity market operator MEMO reported that the average market-clearing price for June stood at 84.42 euros per MWh, a slight increase of 0.2 percent from the previous month. The daily average trading volume reached 3,155 MWh. North Macedonia’s electricity exchange was established in May 2023.
