North Macedonia, AE Solar and PiKCELL Group are planning a joint venture project for the construction of a solar panels

German company AE Solar and North Macedonian PiKCELL Group are planning a joint venture project for the construction of a solar panels manufacturing plant in Tetovo in North Macedonia.

The plant will be built in the Tetovo technological industrial development zone. The construction is expected to start next month, with commercial operation expected to be launched in March next year.

The statement from the companies said that the produced panels will be multi-junction, the latest technology with 23 % effectiveness. The production capacity of the panels will be 1GW/h.

AE Solar is German solar panels manufacturer, with more than 1 GW in manufacturing capacity. Last year, the company said that it will invest 150 million euros in the construction of a solar panels factory in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
