North Macedonia: 388 GWh of electricity produced in November

Total electricity consumption in North Macedonia in November 2019 amounted to 648,735 MWh, natural gas consumption amounted to 20.833 million cubic meters, coal consumption reached 517,558 tons, while the consumption of petroleum products stood at 93,729 tons. According to the data from State Statistical Office, 64.2 % of the consumed electricity in November was covered by domestic production, while 95.7 % of the total coal consumption was used for electricity production. Total net production of electricity in North Macedonia in November 2019 stood at 388,099 MWh, which is 17.9 % lower compared to the same month last year (472,918 MWh). 241,667 MWh or 62.3 % was produced at thermal power plants (- 7.8 % compared to November 2018), 87,025 MWh or 22.4 % was produced at hydropower plants (- 23.9 %), 49,722 MWh or 12.8 % in CHP plants and 4,180 MWh or 1.08 % was produced by Bogdanci wind farm.
