Montenegro, Total investment of Montenegrin state-owned power utility EPCG amounted to 21.7 million euros in 2020

Total investment of Montenegrin state-owned power utility EPCG amounted to 21.7 million euros in 2020, and the largest part (14.82 million euros) was invested in production capacities and as advance for the environmentally oriented reconstruction of coal-fired thermal power plant Pljevlja.

According to 2020 report by the Regulatory Agency for Energy and Regulated Utilities (REGAGEN), out of 14.82 million, 5.83 million are related to the investment in production facilities, and 8.99 million to the advance for TPP Pljevlja reconstruction, while 5.88 million euros was used for the modernization of production facilities and new projects.

When it comes to the electricity distribution system operator CEDIS, the total value of planned investments in 2020 was 27.73 million euros, of which CEDIS realized 32.61 million euros. Of that amount, 19.52 million refers to investments that were planned for 2020, and the remaining amount to investments whose realization was planned for previous years.

Montenegrin electricity transmission system operator CGES has planned 44 investment projects for 2020 worth a total of 58.6 million euros, of which 12 investments with a total value of 44.26 million euros have been completed.
