Montenegro: Lower average electricity bill in April

Compared to the previous month, average electricity bill for households in April 2020 is 13.5 % lower and compared to last April (29.67 euros) it is 6.1 % higher. Average electricity household bill amounted to 31.47 euros.

Lowest average monthly consumption was recorded in Zabljak municipality (15.7 euros), while the highest consumption was in Podgorica, where the average bill was 37 euros. 62 % of households will pay less than 30 euros for electricity consumed during April, 17.2 % will pay between 30 and 50 euros, 17.3 % between 50 and 100, while 3.5 % customers will receive bills higher than 100 euros. 181,577 of regularly paying customers were granted a 10 % discount, which represents some 50.4 % of total consumers in Montenegro. Power utility EPCG also announced that the households consumed 101.03 million kWh in April 2020, which is 12 % more compared to April 2019 and 13 % less compared to the previous month.
