Montenegro: Jugopetrol to pay €1.29 dividend per share from retained profits

Montenegrin fuel retailer Jugopetrol has announced it will distribute a gross dividend of €1.29 per share for this year, maintaining the same payout as the previous year. The decision was made despite the company choosing to retain its entire 2024 net profit of €7.14 million.

Instead of using current-year earnings, Jugopetrol will fund the €6 million dividend payment from retained profits accumulated in previous years. The decision was approved by shareholders during a meeting held in early June.

According to a company statement, this strategy enables Jugopetrol to reward its shareholders while preserving current-year profits for potential future investments or operational needs. Financially, the company reported a slight increase in net profit, rising from €7.04 million in 2023 to €7.14 million in 2024, signaling stable performance amid challenging market conditions.
