JIE: Spot electricity prices range from 124 to 155 euros per MWh on Monday

On Monday, August 28, spot electricity prices in Southeast Europe ranged from 124.4 euros per MWh in Serbia to 155.63 euros per MWh in Greece. The Greek market is the most expensive European market on Monday.

The second highest wholesale price of electricity in the region, and also in Europe, was recorded in Romania and Bulgaria – 150.68 euros per MWh, followed by Hungary with 143.77 euros per MWh and Croatia with 125.42 euros per MWh.

The lowest European price on Monday was recorded in Finland – 24.7 euros per MWh.

Day-ahead prices in the region rose by 20% to 40% compared to Sunday, except in Serbia, where the increase was 6%.

Prices on Sunday ranged from 105 euros per MWh in Croatia to 117.7 euros per MWh in Hungary.
