Hungary: The average price on the HUPX day-ahead market reached 69.3 euros/MWh in February

The average price of electricity on the day-ahead market of the Hungarian energy exchange HUPX reached 69.35 euros/MWh in February, 19% lower compared to the previous month (85.73 euros/MWh). Average HUPX DAM peak price amounted to 74.59 euros/MWh in February (-23%)

Traded volume on the day-ahead market reached 2.44 million MWh, 7 % less compared to January (2.62 million MWh) and 12% more than in February 2023 (2.17 million MWh). The average daily traded volume amounted to 84,276 MWh.

Traded volume on the intraday market amounted to 649,242 MWh in February 2024, while the average price for the hourly product amounted to 71.51 euros/MWh.
