Hungary, MVM Zold Generacio has commissioned a 28.8 solar power plant

The renewables arm of Hungarian state-owned energy company MVM – MVM Zold Generacio has commissioned a 28.8 solar power plant near Debrecen, a project worth some 28 million euros.

The statement from the company said that the newly commissioned plant will generate enough electricity to cover the demand of over 15,000 homes. The project was partially financed by EU and state grants.

In early November, MVM Zold Generacio has launched the construction of a 28.7 MW solar power plant in Kunmadaras, a project worth some 28 million euros. The power plant is expected to enter commercial operation in the second quarter of 2023 and its construction is supported by 10.5 million euros grant from the European Union.

MVM Zold Generacio operates more than 100 solar power plants and seven wind farms in Hungary.
