Hungary: June day-ahead electricity trade on HUPX

In June 2021, the average price of electricity on day-ahead market of the Hungarian energy exchange HUPX amounted to 77.9 euros/MWh, which is 30 % higher compared to the previous month, when average baseload price amounted to 59.94 euros/MWh. Average HUPX DAM peak price amounted to 78.92 euros/MWh in June, 33 % higher compared to May peak price. Traded volume on the day-ahead market reached 2.33 million MWh, which is 10 % more than in May (2.12 million MWh) and 14.8 % more than in June 2020 (2.03 million MWh). Average daily traded volume in June amounted to 77,604 MWh. Traded volume on the intraday market amounted to 197,633 MWh in June 2021, which is 16 % more compared to the previous month. Average daily traded volume on the intraday market amounted to 6,588 MWh.
