Hungary: Electricity trade on HUPX in May

Traded volume in May reached 2.08 million MWh, which is 1.7 % more than in April (2.046 million MWh). The average price of electricity on day-ahead market of the Hungarian energy exchange HUPX amounted to 23.59 euros/MWh in May 2020, which is 6.86 % lower compared to the previous month, when average baseload price amounted to 25.33 euros/MWh. Average HUPX DAM peak price amounted to 23.55 euros/MWh in May, 5.51 % lower compared to April peak price. Average daily traded volume in May amounted to 67,117 MWh. The total value of transactions in May amounted to 48.64 million euros, which is 5.17 % lower than in the previous month (51.29 million euros).
