Hungary: Day-ahead gas price strongly increased to 47 euros per MWh on Sunday

The average weighted price of natural gas on the day-ahead market of the Hungarian gas exchange CEEGEX on Saturday and Sunday, October 15-16, amounted to 46.95 euros per MWh. During the working week spot gas prices ranged from 28.9 to 42.6 euros per MWh.

On the CEEGEX within-day market, the last transactions were recorded on October 14 and the price ranged 40-40.5 euros per MWh.

October futures on the TTF exchange increased by 2.4% on Friday to 55.275 euros per MWh, while the price for the first quarter of 2024 was 58.415 euros per MWh. CAL 24 reached 57.6 euros per MWh.
