Hungary: Day-ahead gas price reached 35.76 euros per MWh on Sunday

The average weighted price of natural gas on the day-ahead market of the Hungarian gas exchange CEEGEX for the weekend (September 09-10) increased to 35.76 euros per MWh. During the working week spot gas prices ranged from 33 to 34 euros per MWh.

The gas price on CEEGEX recorded an almost continuous decline since mid-December last year – on December 14, gas was traded for 128.5 euros per MWh, and in the first days of January, the price dropped to 70.8 euros per MWh. The spot price dropped to 25 euros per MWh in the first week of June. That is the lowest price level in the last 20 months.

On the CEEGEX within-day market, the last transactions were recorded on September 10 and the price reached 39 euros per MWh.

October futures on the TTF exchange increased by 0.15% on Friday to 34.56 euros per MWh, while the price for the fourth quarter was 43 euros per MWh. CAL 24 reached 51.5 euros per MWh.
