Hungary, Average price of electricity on day-ahead market of the HUPX amounted to 371.1 euros/MWh in July

The average price of electricity on day-ahead market of the Hungarian energy exchange HUPX amounted to 371.1 euros/MWh in July 2022, which is 57 % higher compared to the previous month, when average baseload price amounted to 236.79 euros/MWh.

Average HUPX DAM peak price amounted to 379.24 euros/MWh in July, 59 % higher compared to June peak price. Traded volume on the day- ahead market reached 1.96 million MWh, 9 % less compared to June (2.16 million MWh) and 24 % less than in July 2021 (2.58 million MWh). Average daily traded volume in July amounted to 63,543 MWh.

Traded volume on the intraday market amounted to 327,322 MWh in July 2022, which is 5 % less compared to the previous month. Average daily traded volume on the intraday market amounted to 10,559 MWh.
