Hungary, Average price of electricity on day-ahead market of the HUPEX amounted to 204.77 euros/MWh in January 2022

The average price of electricity on day-ahead market of the Hungarian energy exchange HUPX amounted to 204.77 euros/MWh in January 2022, which is 17 % lower compared to the previous month, when average baseload price amounted to 245.81 euros/MWh.

Average HUPX DAM peak price amounted to 232.36 euros/MWh in January, 21 % lower compared to December 2021 peak price. Traded
volume on the day-ahead market reached 2.74 million MWh, which is 4 % more than in December (2.64 million MWh) and 40.5 % more than in January 2021 (1.95 million MWh). Average daily traded volume in January amounted to 88,407 MWh.

Traded volume on the intraday market amounted to 296,060 MWh in January 2022, which is 5 % less compared to the previous month. Average daily traded volume on the intraday market amounted to 9,550 MWh.
