Hungary, 2.58 TWh traded on HUPX day-ahead market in July

The average price of electricity on day-ahead market of the Hungarian energy exchange HUPX amounted to 95.15 euros/MWh in July 2021, which is 22 % higher compared to the previous month, when average baseload price amounted to 77.9  euros/MWh.

Average HUPX DAM peak price amounted to 100.1 euros/MWh in July, 27 % higher compared to June peak price. Traded volume on the day-ahead market reached 2.58 million MWh, which is 11 % more than in June (2.33 million MWh) and 12.7 % more than in July 2020 (2.29 million MWh). Average daily traded volume in July amounted to
83,287 MWh.

Traded volume on the intraday market amountedmto 274,482 MWh in July 2021, which is 39 % more compared to the previous month. Average daily traded volume on the intraday market amounted to 8,854 MWh.
