Greece, Total Eren has commissioned four solar power plants with combined installed capacity of 40 MW

French renewable energy developer Total Eren announced that it has commissioned four solar power plants with combined installed capacity of 40 MW near Kozani in northern Greece.

The statement from the company said the project, consisting of four solar plants with 10 MW capacity each, was funded through 32 million euros loan provided by Greek Eurobank and the National Bank of Greece in February 2021. The project was implemented through Total Eren’s local subsidiary Photovoras Energy.

The four solar power plants are expected to generate 68 GWh of electricity per year, which is enough to cover the demand of more than 18,000 households and reduce CO2 emissions by some 57,800 tons annually.

Through its subsidiaries, Total Eren operates 84 MW in solar power plants and 265 MW in wind farms in Greece.
