Greece, PPC managed to maintain the highest share in the low-voltage electricity market in 2022

According to data published by Greek electricity distribution system operator DEDDIE, Public Power Corporation (PPC) managed to maintain the highest share in the low-voltage electricity market in 2022, while independent electricity suppliers made limited gains.

PPC ended 2022 with some 4.96 million customers in the low-voltage category, which is just 53,000 less compared to the number at the end of 2021.

On the other hand, independent electricity suppliers ended 2022 with just under 1.69 million customers in the low-voltage category, increasing the number by only 31,000 compared to the end of the previous year.

In 2021, PPC lost a far greater number of low- voltage customers – 255,000, while independent suppliers gained approximately 305,000 customers, nearly ten times more compared to 2022.
