Greece: Government approves 300 MW solar project in thessaly by Starvert Energy

The Greek Government has granted environmental approval for a 300 MW solar project in the Thessaly region, proposed by the German company Starvert Energy. The solar power plant will be located in the municipality of Farsala, within the Larissa regional unit.

Spanning 4.8 million square meters, the facility will be equipped with approximately 500,000 solar panels, each with a capacity of 600 W. The plant will connect to a newly constructed substation in the area and will supply electricity to the national transmission network.

Starvert Energy, which has already installed over 1 GW of solar capacity, continues to expand its presence in Greece. Last year, the company added two new projects of 125 MW and 175 MW in Attica and Boeotia to its portfolio, complementing its existing 300 MW developments. Additionally, in October, Starvert received an electricity production permit for another 300 MW solar project in Boeotia.
