Energosistem opened unit for production of valves for gas installations – investment worth RSD 175m

The state-of-the-arts unit for production of valves for gas installations, worth RSD 175m, was put in operation in Energosistem factory in Nova Pazova on Friday, May 14.

The owner and CEO of Energosistem, Svetomir Milinkovic, said at the opening ceremony that the new unit would expand the assortment of products for export to neighboring countries, as well as to Russia, Belarus and Ukraine.

Energosistem produces equipment for earth gas distribution and gas units, the equipment used in the connection of settlements and public utility and industrial facilities to gas system, as well as the equipment for installations for liquefied petroleum gas.

The Government of Vojvodina set aside RSD 25m through the Provincial Secretariat for Science and Technological Development for realization of the production line.

Provincial Prime Minister Bojan Pajtic said that 71 factories or new units had been opened and 18,600 employed in the province to the date within the scope of the New Technologies Program of the Government of Vojvodina.

He added that the new unit in Nova Pazova would have 25 direct and 15 indirect employees.

The Provincial Secretary for Science and Technological Development, Dragoslav Petrovic, said that total export from 70 newly opened units in 2009 had been worth over EUR 41m.
