Croatia: Trial production at two gas fields started

Vermilion Zagreb Exploration, the unit of Vermilion Energy, launched trial gas production in the Berak and Ceric fields in the east of the country, the Croatian Hydrocarbon Agency said.

Daily production of gas from these two fields is expected at between 400,000 and 500,000 cubic metres, which equals 20% of the daily production of gas in Croatia, the agency added. The two fields are located within the SAVA-10 block in Vukovar-Srijem County.

Vermilion continues to prospect for hydrocarbons in Croatia and positive results are also expected on the SAVA-07 block near Kutina.

Vermillion received a licence for onshore oil and gas exploration in Croatia in June 2016.
