Croatia: Over 205,000 guarantees of origin sold latest renewable energy auctions

At the guarantees of origin (GO) auctions for electricity held on 29 October, a total of 205,606 GOs offered by HROTE, ENNA Next, and INA were successfully sold. The auctions were conducted as six parallel sessions through CROPEX’s IT trading platform, covering electricity generated from wind, biogas, and solar sources.

HROTE sold 172,213 GOs from wind power plants for electricity produced in the third quarter of 2025, at a price of 0.23 euros per GO. ENNA Next sold 25,290 GOs from wind power plants for the same production period at 0.23 euros per GO, along with an additional 4,299 GOs from wind power plants at a higher price of 0.32 euros per GO. The company also sold 2,345 GOs from biogas power plants at 0.22 euros per GO and 1,183 GOs from solar power plants at 0.25 euros per GO, both covering electricity generated in the third quarter of 2025.

INA sold 276 GOs from solar power plants for electricity produced in the first quarter of 2025 at a price of 0.22 euros per GO.

The auctions reflect continued market interest in renewable energy certificates in Croatia, particularly in wind power, which accounted for the vast majority of the traded guarantees.
