Croatia, Net electricity production in Croatia in July amounted to 1,119 GWh

According to short-term indicators of energy statistics published by Croatian Bureau of Statistics, net electricity production in Croatia in July 2022 amounted to 1,119 GWh, which is 14.5 % higher compared to July last year, when the production amounted to 977 GWh.

During July, 336 GWh of electricity or 30 % was produced in hydropower plants, 504 GWh or 45 % was produced in thermal power plants, while wind farms produced 190 GWh or 17 % of total produced electricity. During this period, Croatia imported 1,167 GWh of electricity, 25.3 % more compared to last July (931 GWh), while electricity exports stood at 582 GWh, 72.7 % more compared to July 2021 (337 GWh).

Regarding hydrocarbon production, Croatia produced 65 million cubic meters of natural gas in July 2022, 1.5 % less compared to July last year. Natural gas imports stood at 254 million cubic meters, 26.4 % more than in July 2021. Crude oil production stood at 45,000 tons, 4.3 % less compared to July last year. Production of petroleum products stood at 349,000 tons in July 2022, compared to 320,000 tons in the same month last year.
