Croatia, Net electricity production 1.5 TWh in January

Net electricity production in Croatia fell to 1,512 GWh in January from 1,786 GWh in the same month in 2021, the Central Bureau of Statistics announced on Friday.

Electricity production in January was lower than 1,666 GWh in December, according to the Bureau of Statistics.

Production of hydropower plants in January amounted to 753 GWh, thermal power plants and combined power plants on fossil fuels 426 GWh, thermal power plants and combined power plants on renewable sources 88 GWh, wind power plants 234 GWh and solar power plants 3 GWh.

Electricity imports in January fell to 916 GWh, from 988 GWh in the same month in 2021, while exports fell from 1,131 GWh to 716 GWh.

Electricity imports in January fell by 5.4% compared to December, while exports were 22% lower on a monthly basis.

Available electricity on the domestic market in January amounted to 1,686 GWh, which is less than 1,707 GWh in December, and more than 1,641 GWh in January 2021.
