Croatia, JANAF completed its first solar project

Croatian state-owned oil transportation company JANAF completed its first solar project, the 90 kW solar power plant at its Zitnjak terminal in late 2020, which produces 108,540 kWh of electricity per year, thus reducing CO2 emissions by 65 tons per year.

The second JANAF’s solar project, the small-scale power plant at Sisak terminal, was completed in 2021 and produces around 33,000 kWh of electricity per year.

The company now plans the construction of two more solar power plants at its Omisalj terminal. The first will have installed capacity of 840 kW and estimated annual electricity generation of 975,880 kWh, while the second project envisages a smaller plant with 30 kW power output and electricity generation of 38,150 kWh per year.

In 2023, JANAF is also planning to launch the construction of its largest solar project so far – 3 MW solar power plant at its terminal in Slavonski Brod.
