Croatia increases purchases of crude oil from Azerbaijan by 90%

Croatia’s purchases of Azerbaijani crude oil recorded growth in the first half of 2024.

In the first six months, Croatia bought 587,600 tons of crude oil from Azerbaijan for $375.98 million, which is 90% more in the same period last year and 109% more in value terms versus Jan-Jun 2023.

Over January- Jun 2023, Croatia purchased 308,500 tons of crude oil from Azerbaijan for $180.25 million.

Oil prices in 2024 were higher than last year. Last year a ton cost $584, while in 2024 prices increased by $56, to $640 per ton.
