Croatia, HROTE sold all guarantees of origin at the April auction

At auctions of guarantees of origin of electricity produced in February and March 2022 in the plants of eligible producers in the incentive system, which were held on April 22, 2022, the entire amount offered at three separate auctions was sold – a total of 272,655 guarantees of origin.

Guarantees of origin auctions are organized as three parallel auctions. In addition to guarantees of origin from wind farms, guarantees from plants using biomass were also sold on the IT trading platform of the Croatian Electricity Exchange (CROPEX).

Thus, a total of 195,840 guarantees of origin were sold at the auction of guarantees of origin from wind power plants with the start of permanent operation on April 1, 2015 (electricity produced in February and March this year), at a price of 1.69 euros per GP, CROPEX reports.

Then, at the auction of guarantees of origin from wind farms with the start of permanent operation older than April 1, 2015 (electricity also produced in February and March 2022), a total of 15,678 guarantees of origin were sold, at a price of 1.66 euros per GP.

At the auction for guarantees of origin from biomass with the start of permanent operation on April 1, 2015, whose installed capacity is less than 5 MW (electricity produced in February and March this year), a total of 61,137 guarantees of origin were sold at a price of 2.58 euros GP.
