HEP ESCO has launched a public tender worth 5.3 million euros for the construction of 90 solar power plants on the roofs of its facilities across Croatia. Companies can submit bids until 3 November.
The tender is divided into five regional groups covering the entire country. The first group targets Zagreb and surrounding areas, with an estimated value of 1.2 million euros. The third group, the largest at 1.21 million euros, includes installations across Slavonia at 20 HEP electricity distribution and HEP Plin facilities in cities such as Virovitica, Pozega, Vinkovci, and Vukovar.
The second group, valued at 770,000 euros, is the least expensive but involves technically challenging sites, including the Zavrlje, Orlovac, Peruca, and Zakucac hydropower plants in Dalmatia, as well as various distribution buildings between Split, Nin, and Preko. The fourth group, estimated at 1.11 million euros, covers northwestern Croatia, including 15 locations in Medjimurje, Zagorje, and the Sisak-Moslavina region, with the Ozalj hydropower plant also included. The fifth group, worth 1.035 million euros, encompasses 23 sites in Istria, the coastal Primorje region, and Gorski Kotar, from hydropower facilities in Fuzine, Rijeka, and Vinodol to distribution centers in Pula, Rovinj, and Opatija.
Contractors are expected to provide turnkey solutions, handling both design and construction and delivering fully operational solar systems. Companies may apply for all regions or select specific groups. After the selection process, HEP ESCO will sign contracts within 90 days, and all installations must be completed within 18 months from the contract signing date.
