Croatia: ENNA and CROPEX to host guarantees of origin auctions on September 25

ENNA and CROPEX have announced four upcoming guarantees of origin (GO) auctions scheduled for September 25, 2024. These auctions will feature GOs from wind, biomass, and biogas sources, with a total of 62,172 GOs available for sale on CROPEX’s IT trading platform.

The specific auctions include:

  1. Biomass power plants: GOs from biomass plants commissioned after September 2011, with an installed capacity of less than 5 MW, representing electricity produced in Q2 and July 2024.
  2. Biogas power plants: GOs from biogas plants commissioned between April 2012 and September 2018, with an installed capacity of less than 3 MW, also covering electricity generated in Q2 and July 2024.
  3. Wind power plants (older): GOs from wind power plants commissioned since November 2003, based on electricity produced in May, June, July, and August 2024.
  4. Wind power plants (newer): GOs from wind power plants commissioned between September 2010 and February 2012, with electricity produced in Q2 and July 2024.

These auctions provide an important opportunity for stakeholders in the renewable energy sector to acquire verified GOs, promoting transparency and sustainability in electricity generation.
