Croatia: CROPEX to launch the SIDC (XBID) Backup Solution in June

During the SIDC (XBID) outage, starting from June 2023, a local backup solution will be offered on the CROPEX Intraday platform, allowing our members to trade intraday within the local delivery area.

Over the past period, we have witnessed a notable increase in activity and volumes on the CROPEX Intraday Market. Recognizing this trend, we believe that the implementation of the Backup Solution will provide our members with additional flexibility in their trading operations, CROPEX said in a statement.

New local contracts replace SIDC contracts and members can immediately place new orders in the same way as before.

The backup solution runs on CROPEX local platform and is independent of SIDC’s central systems. Once SIDC (XBID) central platform issues are resolved, CROPEX will close the backup solution and all orders on the backup solution will be deactivated, CROPEX announced.
