Croatia: 1,484 GWh of electricity produced in November

According to short-term indicators of energy statistics published by Croatian Bureau of Statistics, net electricity production in Croatia in November 2019 amounted to 1,484 GWh, which is 36.5 % higher compared to November last year, when the production amounted to 1,087 GWh. During November, 838 GWh of electricity or 56.5 % was produced in hydropower plants, 396 GWh or 26.7 % was produced in thermal power plants, while wind farms produced 172 GWh or 11.6 % of total produced electricity. During this period, Croatia imported 608 GWh of electricity, which is 31 % less compared to last November (881 GWh), while electricity exports stood at 629 GWh, 36 % more compared to November 2018 (462 GWh). Regarding hydrocarbon production, Croatia produced 81 million cubic meters of natural gas in November 2019, 19.8 % less compared to November last year. Natural gas imports stood at 191 million cubic meters, 16.5 % more than in November 2018. Crude oil production stood at 52,000 tons, which is 8.8 % lower compared to the same month last year. Production of petroleum products stood at 395,000 tons in November 2019, some 4.4 % lower compared to 413,000 tons produced in the same month last year.
