Bulgaria: Traded electricity on IBEX in June

On the day-ahead market of the Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange (IBEX) in June 2020, a total of 1,056,442 MWh of electricity was traded which is 12.3 % more compared to the previous month. Average daily traded volume in June amounted to 35,214.7 MWh. Traded volume in June 2020 was 72.2 % higher compared to the same month last year. The average baseload price on the day-ahead market in June amounted to 30.46 euros/MWh, which is 30.3 % higher compared to May (23.37 euros/MWh), while average peak price was 31.66 euros/MWh (+ 35.6 %). There were a total of 80 registered participants on the IBEX day-ahead market, three more compared to the previous month. Regarding intraday market, a total of 72,637 MWh (- 2 %) was traded, with the average weighted price of 34.81 euros/MWh (+ 46.8 %).
