Bulgaria: Q1 2021 profit at TPP Bobov Dol

Bulgarian thermal power plant Bobov Dol is 630 MW coal-fired power plant commissioned in 2000, located in southwestern Bulgaria. It was privatized in 2008 and local consortium Energy MK is the plant’s sole owner. Bobov Dol recorded a net profit in the amount of 1.2 million euros in the first three months of 2021, compared to a loss of 2 million euros in the same period last year. The company’s total revenues rose to 19.3 million euros in the first quarter of the year, compared to 11.2 million euros recorded in Q1 2020. Total expenditures also increased to 18 million euros in the same period, from 13.2 million euros a year before. TPP Bobov Dol recorded a net profit in the amount of 1.3 million euros in 2020, compared to a profit of 1.24 million euros in the previous year.
