Bulgaria: IBEX day-ahead market reached new traded record

A record high traded volume of 53,362.2 MWh was realized on the day-ahead market with delivery day 8 July, according to Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange (IBEX). The average hourly traded volume was 2,223.43 MW. Previous record was achieved just last week, with traded volume of 51,211.6 MWh for the delivery day of 1 July. IBEX has started electricity trading on 19 January 2016. It was established as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bulgarian Energy Holding (BEH), later on acquired by the Bulgarian Stock Exchange, and was developed in partnership with Nord Pool Spot. Intraday trading segment started on 11 April 2018.
