Bulgaria: Electricity trade on IBEX in May

Average daily traded volume in May amounted to 30,341.9 MWh. A total of 940,598 MWh of electricity was traded on the day-ahead market of the Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange (IBEX) in May 2020, which is 1.2 % less compared to the previous month.  Traded volume in May 2020 was 60.4 % higher compared to the same month last year. The average baseload price on the day-ahead market in May amounted to 23.37 euros/MWh, which is 5.7 % lower compared to April (24.79 euros/MWh), while average peak price was 23.35 euros/MWh (- 4 %). There were a total of 78 registered participants on the IBEX day-ahead market, one more compared to the previous month. Regarding intraday market, a total of 74,155 MWh (- 33.9 %) was traded, with the average weighted price of 23.71 euros/MWh (- 3.5 %).
