Bulgaria: Electricity generation reached 3.2 TWh in April

Electricity production in Bulgaria increased by an annual 4.3% in April and amounted to 3,194 GWh, which is 3.4% lower than in March, the statistical office said.

Production of solid fuels marked the sole yearly fall, of 52.8% to 681,000 tonnes, the National Statistical Institute said. It also posted the largest monthly drop, at 41.1%.

Liquefied petroleum gases (LPG) posted the highest annual rise, at 267% to 11,000 tonnes, which also represented the largest monthly increase, at 37.5%.

Bulgaria’s total output of oil products soared by 96.7% on the year to 663,000 tonnes in April, which also amounted to a 6.6% increase.
