Bulgaria: Decrease in traded MWh on IBEX in April

The average baseload price on the day-ahead market in April amounted to 24.79 euros/MWh, which is 12.3 % lower compared to March (28.28 euros/MWh), while average peak price was 24.32 euros/MWh (- 21.3 %). A total of 951,739 MWh of electricity was traded on the day-ahead market of the Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange (IBEX) in April 2020, which is 17 % less compared to the previous month. Average daily traded volume in April amounted to 31,724.6 MWh.  Weighted average price was 25.01 euros/MWh. There were a total of 77 registered participants on the IBEX day-ahead market, one more compared to the previous month. Regarding intraday market, a total of 112,186.4 MWh (+ 13 %) was traded, with the average weighted price of 24.56 euros/MWh (+ 2.8 %).
