Bulgaria: Bulgargaz proposes lower wholesale gas price for August 2025

Bulgarian state-owned gas supplier Bulgargaz has proposed a lower wholesale natural gas price to be applied in August 2025. The suggested price is around 31.7 euros per MWh, which is 3.8 percent lower than the price approved for July, set at approximately 33 euros per MWh. The July price itself marked a slight increase of 0.6 percent compared to June.

The final price for August will be approved by the Commission for Energy and Water Regulation (KEVR) on the first day of the month. This will follow an update of Bulgargaz’s proposal in line with the current market conditions and a public discussion scheduled for the end of July.
