Bulgaria, Average price on IBEX DAM reduced by 45%, to 209.95 euros per MWh

The average electricity price for base load in October 2022 on the day-ahead market (DAM) of the Independent Bulgarian Stock Exchange IBEX was 205.95 euros per MWh, which is 45% less than in September – 376.06 euros per MWh, according to the monthly report of the stock exchange operator.

The price for peak load at DAM was also reduced in October, by 43%, from 396.55 euros per MWh to 225.03 euros per MWh.

The maximum price per hour in the previous month was 696.38 euros per MWh, and the minimum was 30.53 euros per MWh.

At the same time, the total volume of trade on IBEX DAM decreased by 18%, to 1.742 million MWh, while the average daily volume decreased by 20.7%, to 56,207 MWh.

The average weighted price on the intraday market (IDM) IBEX decreased by 48%, from 384.71 euros per MWh in September to 208.8 euros per MWh in October.

The total volume in October was 116,095 MWh, which is 2.7% more compared to 113,077 MWh in September.
