Bulgaria: Average price on IBEX DAM reached 81.6 euros/MWh in December

The average baseload price on the day-ahead market of the Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange in December 2023 amounted to 81.56 euros/ MWh, which is 21% lower compared to November (102.83 euros/MWh), while the average peak price was 99.28 euros/MWh

In the same period, 2,682,249 MWh was traded on the day-ahead market, which is 14% more compared to the previous month. The average daily trade volume in December amounted to 86,524 MWh. Traded volume in December was 16% higher compared to the same month last year.

There were 115 registered participants on the IBEX day-ahead market, the same as in the previous month. 

On the intraday market, a total of 236,084.8 MWh was traded, with an average weighted price of 89.6 euros/MWh.
