Bulgaria: An average price on IBEX DAM amounted to 82 euros/MWh in May

Traded volume on the day-ahead market of the Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange (IBEX) in May amounted to 2,088,080 MWh.  That is 4.2% less compared to the previous month. The average daily traded volume amounted to 67,357.4 MWh. Traded volume in May 2024 was 0.4% lower compared to the same month last year.

In the same period, the average price on the day-ahead market amounted to 82.22 euros/MWh, 41.2% higher compared to April (58.24 euros/MWh), while the average peak price was 69.03 euros/MWh (+50.3 %).

On the intraday market, 282,288.9 MWh was traded, with an average weighted price of 82.81 euros/MWh. This was the highest monthly traded volume on the intraday market recorded so far.
