Bulgaria: 704,352 MWh traded on IBEX in September

A total of 704,352 MWh of electricity was traded on the day-ahead market of the Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange (IBEX) in September 2019, which is 0.8 % more compared to the previous month.

Average daily traded volume in September amounted to 23,478.4 MWh. The average baseload price on the day-ahead market in September amounted to 55.32 euros/MWh, which is 6.1 % higher compared to August (52.12 euros/MWh), while average peak price was 59.99 euros/MWh (+ 5.7 %). Weighted average price was 56.4 euros/MWh. There were a total of 73 registered participants on the IBEX day-ahead market. Regarding intraday market, a total of 7,506 MWh (- 28.5 %) was traded, with the average weighted price of 50.15 euros/MWh (- 17.2 %).

At the same time, 1,203,545 MWh of electricity was delivered on the centralized market for bilateral contracts in September (15.7 % less compared to August), with the weighted average price of 48.49 euros/MWh (- 0.2 %).
