Bulgaria, 2,277 MWh traded on IBEX in July

A total of 2,277,020.9 MWh of electricity was traded on the day-ahead market of the Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange (IBEX) in July 2021, which is 15 % more compared to the previous month. Average daily traded volume in
July amounted to 73,452.3 MWh. Traded volume in July 2021 was 51.4 % higher compared to the same month last year.

The average baseload price on the day-ahead market in July amounted to 94.89 euros/MWh, which is 22.9 % higher compared to July (77.18 euros/MWh), while average peak price was 100.56 euros/MWh (+ 26.5 %). There were a total of 86 registered participants on the IBEX day-ahead market, one more compared to the previous month.

Regarding intraday market, a total of 99,961.7 MWh (- 2.4 %) was traded, with the average weighted price of 98.01 euros/MWh (+ 29.1 %).
