Bosnia and Herzegovina, Siroka Draga wind project obtained energy permit

The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) said that it gave preliminary consent to the Ministry of Environment and Tourism to provide energy permit to local company IMRES for its Siroka Draga wind farm.

Siroka Draga wind farmwill consist of 19 wind turbines with power output of 6.6 MW each, for a total capacity of 125.4 MW. The wind farm will be built on the Kamesnica mountain in Livno and Tomislavgrad municipalities. Estimated annual electricity generation is around 403 GWh.

In 2017, IMRES Smart Greenergy and Turkish engineering company Enprode have signed a partnership agreement on the construction of wind farm Siroka Draga, as well as on the start of the development of the project for the construction of 1,120 MW reversible hydropower plant, which would be the largest of its kind in southeastern Europe.
