Bosnia and Herzegovina, Promondis is planning to build 88.5 MW solar power plant

The municipality of Bosanski Petrovac announced that local company Promondis, owned by German investor Berthold Brentrup, is planning to build 88.5 MW solar power plant in the municipality, a project worth 45 million euros.

The construction of the plant should start in the spring of 2022 and it should be completed in 2024.

In early 2021, The municipality of Bosanski Petrovac authorized the Government of the Una- Sana Canton to launch a tender for awarding a concession for the construction of 90 MW solar power plant, a project with estimated cost of over 50 million euros. It is planned that the solar power plant will stretch over 150 hectares at the Bjelajski Vaganac site.

Bosnia and Herzegovina does not have any operational large-scale solar power plants.
