Bosnia and Herzegovina: No reduction of gas supply from Gazprom

On 16 December, Federal Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry Nermin Dzindic said that Gazprom has reduced gas deliveries to BH-Gas by 50 % due to technical issues at the interconnection point Beregovo.

Bosnian gas company BH-Gas received confirmation from Russian Gazprom of the original requested nomination for natural gas, after it was announced that the quantities supplied by Gazprom will be reduced by 50 %. The statement from the company said that this creates conditions for reliable and uninterrupted natural gas supply for all consumers in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH).

It is interesting that such notice from Gazprom was received a day after two members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina refused to meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially its FBiH entity where the majority of imported gas is consumed, has no alternative gas supply routes and is entirely dependent on Russian Gazprom.
