Bosnia and Herzegovina: Individual renewable projects possible at EP HZHB

Applications of interested partners for the takeover of their project could be sent until 31 December 2021.

The smallest of the three Bosnian power utilities – EP HZHB is exploring the possibility of integrating already completed or renewable energy projects in later stages of development into its generation portfolio. Accordingly, the company has announced a tender seeking interested partners for the development and sale of renewable energy projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Solar, wind and hydro power plants come into consideration. Non-integrated solar power plants should have a capacity of up to 1 MW, with priority given to locations with more hours of sunshine, better micro-location conditions, spatial planning documentation ready for project development and at least obtained location permit.

When it comes to solar power plants already in operation, preference is given to facilities with a capacity of more than 1 MW, and in the case of developing wind farms, priority will be given to those projects that have obtained a valid building permit and locations with more than 2,500 hours of operation per year. Regarding already operational wind farms, the priority will be given to locations with more than 2500 h of work per year. Finally, there are hydropower plants larger than 1 MW that can be under development or already in operation.
