Bosnia and Herzegovina, ASA Group is planning to build two solar power plants

ASA Energija, a subsidiary of Bosnian ASA Group, is planning to build two solar power plants with combined installed capacity of 8 MW in Bosanski Petrovac.

The statement from the Una-Sana Cantonal Government said that the company already submitted request for building permits for ASA L1 and ASA L2 solar power plants, with the capacity of 4 MW each. No financial details about the project were revealed.

The Federal Government has already granted electricity production permit to ASA Group.

The municipality of Bosanski Petrovac already attracted several solar projects. In late 2021, local company Promondis, owned by German investor Berthold Brentrup, said that it is planning to build 88.5 MW solar power plant, a project worth 45 million euros. The construction of the plant should start in the spring of 2022 and it should be completed in 2024.

In 2019, RSV Energy is planning to invest some 36 million euros in the construction of 47 MW solar power plant near Bosanski Petrovac in northwestern part of the country.
