BiH: RiTE Gacko produced 360 GWh in Q3

Mine and thermal power plant (RiTE) Gacko in the first quarter produced 360,180 megawatt-hours of electricity, said the director of that company Maksim Skoko, emphasizing that they are constantly working on improving all parts of the production process and that a regular overhaul is planned for June.

Skoko expressed his satisfaction with the operational readiness of the thermal power plant, the stability of its operation and the number of hours spent online since the beginning of the year.

He stated that in January, February and April there were no work stoppages, while in March there was a planned stoppage due to boiler cleaning and several unplanned ones, primarily caused by poor coal quality.

Skoko added that the parent company Elektroprivreda Republika Srpska (ERS) contracted for the needs of RiTE Gacko a system based on highly sophisticated German equipment to improve the quality of the coal burned in the thermal power plant, after its application the thermal power plant would increase production and work even more stably and efficiently.
